O.W. cop arrested for robbery, drugs, and wounding
A police officer has been arrested following an attack against a Chinese businessman in Orange Walk. P.C. Wilfredo Petillo was today charged with wounding, robbery, possession of controlled drugs and damage to property. Reports are that around seven thirty on Thursday night, Petillo walked into the Bai Li Club on Lover’s Lane and proceeded to rob the establishment of approximately two hundred dollars in cash. Forty year old proprietor Ghen Guany Zhi heard cries for help but when he approached the thief, a struggle ensued. When the dust cleared, Ghen was suffering from a stab wound in the back of the head. Subsequent investigations into the incident led to the arrest of Petillo. A search of his home turned up point two grams of crack cocaine. He has been interdicted from duty and is out on bail of five thousand dollars. The case has been adjourned until July fifth 2006.
