Waitress Raped by Unknown Assailants in Belmopan

In the capital, a twenty-two year old waitress is reporting that she was gang raped over the weekend. The incident reportedly happened on Sunday morning. The woman claims that at around eleven on Sunday night, while heading to work, she was offered a ride by four men travelling in a pickup truck. When she reached near her work place she told the driver to stop but she was ignored and instead she was taken to an isolated area. The young woman says that the men threatened to kill her if she did not do as she was told. She was then forced to perform oral sex on two men, after which three of the four men raped her.

This is such a horrible crime! Corruption and a break down in morals and values has led to some people just turning into some savages. I hope they find these 4 men and execute them on sight. No young lady should have to experience an ordeal like this. Hopefully the special envoy for women and children can reach out to her to provide necessary counseling and proper help as she will have to live with this nightmare for the rest of her life.

Belizean people, we ALL need to learn to love one another, and come together to take back our country from these savage criminals, and worthless, corrupt politicians.

Ladies stop your hitchhiking, nothing is free anymore. Find safe ways to get to your place of employment and stop looking for free rides. We are living in a time of doing everything in your power to be safe, I cannot understand how in this day and age parents still let their children hitchhike and young and old women still do the same are you brain dead to know that those days are gone.???? Please get some common sense (which is almost non existant in Belize) stop looking for free rides.

  4. Tonia says:

Women taking or not taking rides is less of a problem than the need to teach men and boys NOT TO RAPE! Telling the women they shouldn’t have taken a ride is blaming the victim. It is cruel.
