VIP supports second motion for a senate inquiry

The Senate is scheduled to meet next week to ratify a number of bills that were passed at Thursday’s House meeting. But another matter will be coming up. The opposition Senator, Lisa Shoman will be bringing back to the Senate floor, a motion for a senate inquiry into the immigration scandal. The first time Shoman tried, there was confusion, the vote went six-six and the president, Mark Pech, cast a vote. Shoman pointed out immediately he did not have a casting vote, but the Leader of the Government Business, Godwin Hulse, called for an adjournment. Not to be deterred, Shoman will be filing a second motion; notice has been sent to the clerk of the National Assembly and according to the opposition it can again could on the support of social partners. Also coming in support of the investigation is the VIP. VIP says it has been three months since the scandal broke and there has been no information revealed and that it appears that it is being swept under the rug. The VIP says it supports the proposal for a full and impartial Senate Inquiry into the passport scandal at the Immigration Department.

“VIP says it has been three months since the scandal broke and there has been no information revealed and that it appears that it is being swept under the rug.” And Godwin Hulse made a special investigation, however, the lucrative visa, passport and nationality certificate continues at full speed. The senate inquiry should/must be put in effect; or Hulse, not an elected representative Minister should be removed from the portfolio. Barrow cannot hold on more for Hulse.
