Gregory Knox remanded for aggravated assault
A tearful Gregory Knox sobbed before the Senior Magistrate on Monday when he was accused of pulling a gun at a woman. But that did not spare him from being remanded to prison. Knox was charged with Aggravated Assault with a Firearm upon Ashanti Scott after it is alleged that he pointed a gun at her. Twenty-one year old Knox, a resident of Rio Bravo Crescent, off Fabers Road, appeared before Senior Magistrate Sharon Frazer where he was slapped with the charge. The incident occurred back on August eighteenth. Scott claimed that she was walking on Neal’s Pen Road when she got into an argument with a woman, who later went for Knox. The accused allegedly went to Scott’s house and pulled out what appeared to be a firearm and pointed it at her. But it wasn’t until Monday morning that police detained Knox. Knox is to reappear in court on February fourth, 2014. At the time of his arrest, Knox was out on bail as the alleged culprit for the robbery of a Chinese national shop that occurred in 2012.
