O.W. catfight puts woman in hospital
Orange Walk police are tonight investigating an attempted murder following a cat fight on Thursday night. According to the cops, around midnight twenty-one year old Marisela Mai and a seventeen year old got into a vicious brawl in Trial Farm village near the football field. When it was over Mai had been stabbed several times in the head, breast, right arm, and abdomen. The victim was rushed to the Northern Regional Hospital where she remains tonight in serious but stable condition. Investigating officers have since charged Mai’s teenaged attacker with attempted murder, dangerous harm, and use of deadly means of harm. As to a motive for the incident, we are told that Mai, her younger sister, and the accused had gotten into an argument earlier that night at a dance in the village. The girls were parted and went their separate ways but the teenager later returned to the scene armed with a knife.
