Guatemala chief of staff sees progress

?I hope that a diplomatic relationship continues between both countries. The reality is that we have had sufficient contact between the Belize Defence Force, which has contributed to the confidence building measures. We have also had many meetings with regards to the adjacency zone and we are on good terms with the Belizean army.?

The conference was attended by officers from the U.S.A, Belize, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Panama, Colombia and the Dominican Republic.
