Darrell Bradley still has his sights on Central Government
And from City Hall to Central Government, where Bradley has set his sights…the young politician has stated that he will throw his hat into the ring for higher office. He conceded today that it will be difficult because of his responsibilities to City Hall, his private practice and his family. But he’s already gotten his feet wet in Caribbean Shores, so that is where he would likely go, even though he will face significant opposition in Santino Castillo. And if the roads in that constituency get too bumpy, he can always head on over to Freetown.

Darrell Bradley, Mayor, Belize City
“At this present moment, in terms of Caribbean Shores, I am still very mindful of that area. We are doing what is called a very soft campaign, where we are touching base with key U.D.P. people in that area. I have a committee that is working on certain issues that are very close to members of the Caribbean Shores constituency that we got active involve including the land issue and certain other projects that we are working on with community members is making sure that their voices are properly heard and I am keeping very, very close to that area.”

“But while Caribbean Shores would obviously be your first choice; there have been reports that you have been approached by the party to run perhaps in Freetown against Francis Fonseca. Any truth to that?”
Darrell Bradley
“Well I have been approached by the party; I think that it is a discussion. I mean it is of interest and the caretaker in that area, Lee Mark Chang, has step down. There is something of a vacuum in that area. I think that he still is very active with the committee. It is an area that I live and so they have approached me in that and I had indicated that there are certain commitments that I have made of the current holder of office of Mayor and this is really occupying a significant amount of time. And then also in relation to the people in Caribbean Shores, I had already walked the streets and things of that nature.”
