Meeting of National Environmental Appraisal Committee postponed
Today there was to have been a meeting of the National Environmental Appraisal Committee to consider the EIA on the Norwegian Cruise Line tourism project, but it was postponed. Information to News Five is that following a disastrous consultation effort in Independence last week Wednesday, NEAC members almost unanimously requested more time to address the many problems and concerns that came up. We have also been told that the Department of the Environment also needed more time to deal with the errors in the Environment Impact Assessment. That EIA was conducted by International Environments Limited, owned by the Arguelles brothers.
