Robbers get $300 from Northern Highway block factory
A mid-afternoon robbery on the outskirts of Belize City has netted a duo three hundred dollars in cash. Around twelve-fifteen today, two men entered Leslie’s Block Factory at mile three on the Northern Highway. Armed with a gun and a knife, the men robbed an employee of one hundred dollars in company cash and then proceeded to take two hundred dollars from a drawer. The men are described as being of East Indian and Creole descent respectively. At the time of the robbery, two employees were in the office, while ten other workers were in the compound outside. According to company sources, this is the first time the business has been robbed in the twelve years since it opened.
