Fashion Fusion 2014

A benefit fashion show is scheduled to kick off this Saturday night inside the King’s Room at the Princess Hotel and Casino. Dubbed, Fashion fusion 2014, the show will see some thirty plus models of Nouveau Model Management strut on the catwalk showcasing the designs of local and international designers. From the browse and shop session prior to the show and even the meet and greet session thereafter, Fashion Fusion 2014 is expected to be a huge success. As a treat, Mexican Swimsuit Designer, Geraldine Quijano from Merida, will also have her edgy collection featured in the show. But the event is two-fold, says Director of Fashion Fusion 2014, Will Moreno, because proceeds from the fashion show will be used to assist less fortunate children with school supplies.

Will Moreno

“We’ve been doing it year after year; getting the school bag drive going and getting the Christmas giving going, but because of the economic downturn, we’ve noticed that the amount of donations coming in have been less. So what we decided to do this year is partner with the designers and partner with everyone to make it a benefit for the kids.”

Duane Moody

“Tell us about those designers and what is it that people can expect when they do come out on Saturday.”

Will Moreno

“First of all, I expect them to have a whole lot of fun because it is not just a fashion show, it is a fashion extravaganza. It is browsing and shopping, it is actually entertainment in between the segments and then also the designers themselves. I mean Francis Alfaro, who is a fashion designer; we also have the Torres Brothers from Jada’s Fashions; we have Mauricio Canelo who does jewelry and we also have Lula Bennett, from Lula’s Impressions who does rustic jewelry. The international designer that we are bringing in is Geraldine Quijano from Merida in Mexico. She was invited in for the mere fact that she has Belizean family ties. So everything that will be on the runway really is truly Belizean.”

Tickets are available at the Bliss Box Office, Catwalk Fashions and Eve Secrets at seventy-five dollars for VIP, while reserve tickets are fifty-five dollars and general admission going at thirty-five dollars.
