Amputee sentenced to 1 year in prison for weed
An amputee of La Democracia Village will be spending the first of a one year jail term tonight behind bars for a drug possession conviction. Sixty-six year old John Ramos is certainly no stranger to the court; he has eight previous convictions for possession of controlled drugs and today in the Courtroom of Senior Magistrate Sharon Frazer he picked up his ninth conviction after opting for a guilty plea. On Wednesday, Ramos was found in possession of twenty-nine grams of weed behind the Commercial Center. Because of his record, Senior Magistrate Fraser chose not to impose another fine and instead sent him behind bars for a year. Police believe that he intended to sell the weed to fisherman behind the Commercial Center.
Well you can’t say the law does not discriminate.
