Man formally arrested and charged for rape of 8 year old

On February fifth, News Five reported a very disturbing and appalling sexual crime against a small child. The child, an eight year old female, visited the Independence Police Station with her aunt to report that on February first she went to her aunt’s house in the village of Bella Vista to get some flour tortillas to eat. The child reported that when inside the house, her uncle arrived and started kissing her, after which he raped her. Police immediately launched an intensive manhunt for the alleged predator, and today reported that the thirty-four year old resident of Bella Vista has handed himself over to the Independence Police station. He was formally arrested and charged for carnal knowledge, rape and an unnatural crime. We were given the name of the predator and a mug shot but we will not reveal them, not to protect him, but to protect the identity of the victim.
