Still no leads in murder of Corozal customs broker, Stephen Kuylen Jr.

It has been one week since Stephen Kuylen Junior was killed in the front yard of his Orange Walk home. Today when we caught up with police in Orange Walk, they told us that while they are following up several leads, there has been no arrest. What abounds police said is rampant speculation about the motive of the execution-style murder. Deputy Officer Commanding the Orange Walk Police says that Kuylen Junior’s firearm and cell phone are still missing.

“The speculations have been floating out on the streets and it is no secret that theories have been that probably it could have been the ex-wife, because of inheritance money, could have been because of some millions of dollars. That is all speculation people. We are looking at all the angles; we are looking at all the possibilities. We have interviewed several persons in regards to this investigation. Just yesterday I got another set of information that I passed on to our intelligence and our crime investigation branch and they are looking into it. So the investigation into Mister Kuylen’s murder is still open and we are still working hard trying to crack down on this case.”

“Did you guys manage to find the firearm, Mister Kuylen’s licensed firearm?”

“Not as yet. The firearm, as far as we know is still missing as well as the cell phone.”
