Coroner?s inquest may conclude on Wednesday

On Wednesday, the official investigation into the death of twenty one year old Leslie Rogers Jr. will continue and perhaps conclude in Belize City Magistrate’s Court. Witnesses expected to testify before Magistrate Margaret Gabb Mckenzie and a seven member jury includes Albert Ciego, the Police Department’s firearms expert, forensic pathologists Doctors Mario Estradabran and Hugh Sanchez, and the accused himself, Aldo Ayuso. The jury will determine whether anyone was criminally responsible for the death and if so what charges could be filed. Rogers was fatally shot in the head by then police officer Ayuso on Euphrates Avenue on February twelfth, 2005.
