Five friends injure each other in drunken brawl
Meanwhile, cops in the west are also investigating a drunken brawl that left five friends suffering from stab wounds, cuts, and bruises. Apparently, Robert Velasquez was hosting a party at his house on Joseph Andrews Drive and Jesus Lobos, Wayne Murray, Edgar Ayala, and Jimmy DeLeon showed up to celebrate. But somewhere along the line, a fight broke out. Police say when they got to the scene all the men appeared inebriated and couldn’t even tell them why the fight had started. Subsequent investigations have revealed that DeLeon had done or said something that the other four didn’t like and they all turned on him. All five were rushed to the San Ignacio hospital and later transferred to the Belmopan Regional Hospital. Edgar Ayala, who sustained stab wounds to the stomach, is now at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital in serious but stable condition.
