Western Highway accident leaves cyclist hospitalised
A traffic accident on the Western Highway has left a cyclist hospitalised. Police reports are that around eight on Saturday night, William Velasquez was riding his bicycle between miles sixty-seven and sixty-eight toward San Ignacio when he was knocked down by a Toyota Camry travelling in the same direction. The driver of the car, thirty-two year old Albert Wade Jr., told investigators that Velasquez swerved suddenly into his lane and there was no way to avoid a collision. The victim was rushed to the San Ignacio hospital for treatment and police have served Wade with a notice of intended prosecution.
