Rosita May, Woman of Culture
As part of Women’s Month activities, the National Institute of Culture and History announced today that it is naming Rosita May of Corozal Town as its Woman of Culture. The businesswoman is the co-owner of Hotel Maya; she has also served on a number of boards in the tourism industry over the years including NICH, B.T.I.A. and the B.T.B. May is also credited as a promoter of the Maya Culture and more recently has been at the frontline of a BTIA initiative involving activities to promote the Mayan culture at the Santa Rita Mayan monument. A ceremony will be held next week by NICH to honor May.

She is a very admirable woman.
