Today the boys and girls at Sister Clara Muhammed School continued with their daily activities … all hoping that eleven year old Lexy Dickson, Jr. will soon return to class. The boy?s mother Rose Williams is claiming that her son, who was in her custody, was taken without her permission by his father Lexy Dickson Sr., a Honduran national believed to be heading to Honduras. Today young Lexy?s teachers say they are concerned about the boy?s well being.

?Definitely because you move from one place to another you have to adjust. Different country, different climate, you know, then you have to go and start making friends all over. The language wouldn?t be a problem, because he speaks Spanish, but I will miss him, I will miss him I must say, and I hope that the family, the authorities can resolve this situation, you know, quickly.?
Today the school?s head teacher for the upper division, Kimberly Gillett, says on Monday, March thirteenth Mr. Dickson did come by the school to take the child to a nearby clinic but that Lexy was returned to them and was in class until eleven forty-five that morning. However he did not return to school in the afternoon.
Kimberly Gillett, Head Teacher, Sr Clara Muhammed School
?We know that he, Mr. Dickson is sickly and there are times that when he needs to go to the doctor, he will have Lexy along with him, so we are not sure if it was for that purpose, or if it was Lexy himself.?

?And would you all permit something like that to happen, to have the child to leave the class to accompany his dad to the clinic??
Kimberly Gillett
?Under these circumstances, because we know of the situation we allow it from time to time. It?s not something we commonly practice, but because we are aware of the situation. We allowed him for that day.?
?In the afternoon when he didn?t return, some of the students started mentioning that Lexy had gone to Honduras, because I could recall in my social studies class I had asked who all were absent and they mentioned Lexy, and they did remark that he went to Honduras.?
Today Belize City police told News Five they were informed that the boy is now in Honduras and that they will be working with their counterparts in that country to investigate the matter and see how it can be settled in the best interest of the child. Jacqueline Woods for News Five.
