Accident victim succumbs to injuries
The family of Lydia Rodriguez is in mourning following the young woman’s death on Sunday night. According to relatives, Rodriguez passed away in her sleep around eight-thirty p.m., surrounded by loved ones. On February seventh, the pregnant woman was involved in a traffic accident on the Guinea Grass road that left her in critical condition. Doctors were able to save Rodriguez’s baby, but severe injuries to the head and body proved too much for the young mother. The family would like to thank all those who tried to help Lydia whether it was with prayers, money, or donated blood. We understand that one of her last wishes was that her infant child be called Lydia in her memory. She will be buried in Guinea Grass village on Wednesday following services at the Catholic Church.
