Suspect charged in cold case murder
And while police have three more murders on their hands, they are nonetheless pleased tonight, having made a breakthrough in another cold case. On Monday, officers arrested twenty-one year old Errol Haynes and charged him with the 2005 murder of Delrick Sankey. This afternoon Haynes appeared before Magistrate Margaret Gabb-McKenzie where he was remanded to Hattieville prison until March eighth. Sankey’s lifeless body was found on January sixth, 2005 near mile four and a half on the Northern Highway. He had been shot to the back of the head.
