At seven years old, Kevin Garcia experienced something no one should … he was robbed at gunpoint. Around eight-fifteen on Friday morning, the Queen Square primary school student was getting ready to leave for class, when he was ambushed at his home on Iguana Street.

“When I was walking on the stairs with the bike, the bad man, the bad man was coming back of me. I came right up here, put the bike right there, and the badman come right here. And bad man say, ?Give me the bike or else I?ll shoot you.? And I tell ah, ?Get it.? Then I follow the man and the bad man, kick me inna cement and he seh, ?If you follow me, you will dead.? And he put the gun front of my head. And then I let he go, then I come crying to my ma and told her what happened.?

Garcia was traumatised but unhurt. Most of his neighbours were at home during the incident and were shocked at the news of the crime.

Even after that terrible experience, Garcia went to school and officials there alerted authorities of the armed robbery. Today the little boy offered this sad piece of advice to his peers.

“If they is riding their bike, I will tell them, I will tell them to go home quick before a bad man come and get your bike.?

Up to news time tonight, no arrests had been made in connection to the hold up of Kevin Garcia.
