Minister “Boots” Martinez takes a swing at Cotton Tree residents
Two hundred and fifty-four lots in Cotton Tree have been given to residents of Port Loyola. The Village Council has reacted by taking government to court saying that G.O.B. has violated the law by usurping the autonomy of the Council. Today, Port Loyola Area Rep., Minister Anthony “Boots” Martinez, says that government acquired the land not for the purpose of village expansion, but specifically to distribute to Belize City residents—residents who support the U.D.P., that is.
Anthony ‘Boots’ Martinez, Port Loyola Area Representative
“No, no, no, no, none at all. As a matter of fact my thirty lots have been given out and have been physically occupied and people have been chopping out their lots and are getting ready to occupy it with the leases and so, so I don’t see no encounter. What the Chairman needs to do…it is my understanding, that the owner of the land that government bought it from has another piece right beside it, so what he can do is raise funds from the Village Council and buy the next piece of land from the man.”

“So you do not accept that government overstepped its bounds by bypassing the Village Council?”
Anthony ‘Boots’ Martinez
“No, no…then weh kinda can of worms you wah open if you want to look at it in that light. Weh happen to thirty years ago, forty years ago…you could go back inna the archives and see who get a land inna village weh neva gone through no Village Council or mek recommendations inna Village Council. Weh kinda backup yu deh look fu head fa? Yu deh look fu head fu deep waters, the ocean…because at the end of the day, history will recall that a lot of people that had gotten lots in village countrywide, whether thirty years ago, forty years ago, fifty years ago, without no recommendation from a Village Council…so what will happen with that now? Dey people obtain dey land illegally?”

“Do you think a racial factor is at play here?”
Anthony ‘Boots’ Martinez
“That definitely for sure in Cotton Tree…it’s a racial issue and I make no apologies because I heard it from the Chairman and the other Hispanic people in that village. But that don’t move me, and the original founders of both More Tomorrow and Cotton Tree were Creole people you know.”
Another clear evident of Barrow being racist. Just take a look at the length he is going to violate the ruling of the courts the Maya have won. Memba when he said at the Biltmore, ‘ Da we term now” He meant da fu we creole term now. Just check it how.
What people are concerned is the criminals and gang members being brought into their community! BELIZE CITY POLITICIANS are spreading gangs countrywide, and district wide and doing this for their benefit to get rid of these people from within their neighbourhoods or family neighbourhoods! CAN’T EVERYONE SEE THIS BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE! WE ARE NOT HELPING THE PROBLEM OF GANGS BUT SPREADING THEIR NET!!!!!!!!
EXPECT: INCREASE in robberies and violence in these OTHERWISE quiet and peaceful communities!
QUESTION: So government rewarding criminals and gang members by sending them out of city and leasing them land which WAS BOUGHT with tax payers money?
WAIT! And we the hard working tax payer who plays by the rules and have applied for a piece of land are unable to get a piece because we either are not from the ruling party or do not have CONNECTIONS? W
MORALE: Become corrupt, BECOME violent and a criminal. ONLY in Belize, IT PAYS TO BE A CRIMINAL AND DO THE CRIME!
That’s exactly what they are doing, sending the criminal elements to the villages while he’s giving away the land to a few of his friends, specifically Rascourse street associates in exchange for his habit. This isn’t gossip because I’ve seen where they own quite a bit of land by the beach area in Port. This will have a negative effect upon the peaceful residents of some of those villages and it will get upgly.
