Woman charged with harm for attacking her stepmother
A stepdaughter who felt she was being disrespected pleaded guilty to two counts of harm upon her step mother and her sister. Stephanie Flowers was charged after she admitted to beating up both women, one is her step-mother, Alice Perriott and the other is Perriott’s sister Aretha Budnah. The incident occurred in July 2013 at a house Perriott shares with Flower’s father located at Sunway Avenue. When the case came up today, Flowers changed her plea to guilty. Senior Magistrate Sharon Frazer who heard the matter imposed a one-year suspended sentence upon Flowers and she was ordered to keep the peace. The only missing link in the family feud was Flowers’ father. According to Budnah, she was at Perriott’s home when a white car pulled up. Flowers and her sisters exited the car, and confronted and attacked her. Flowers then proceeded to assault Perriot who was inside the house. Before the sentence was imposed, Flowers was required to give an open apology to the aggrieved women. She asked Budna to forgive her because she had mistaken her identity. She then turned to her stepmother and asked for forgiveness saying she was sorry for causing the incident and hoped they could get along.
