A major drug plantation bust in Biscayne
The Police department is recording a huge drug bust in the Biscayne Village. The department says that around two-thirty on Thursday afternoon, a joint patrol between police, the B.D.F. and the Anti-Drug Operation Unit came up on a marijuana plantation between miles twenty-nine and thirty on the Phillip Goldson Highway, in Biscayne Village. Approximately one and a half miles northeast of the village, the patrol discovered a small marijuana plantation measuring forty by fifty in size, with fifty-seven mature marijuana plants from two to eight feet in height. Twenty-five meters away, the officers discovered an open patch measuring twenty by thirty feel with eleven mature marijuana plants. Caught in the immediate area under a shed was twenty-four year old Dwayne Bradley of Gardenia. Bradley was found with a black plastic bag containing two and a half ounces of suspected cannabis. Also found in a jacket was one thousand dollars. Bradley was arraigned today in court for the offence of Drug Trafficking and Cultivation of Controlled Drug.
