Jerson Grinage charged for 3.5 ounces of weed

Mahogany Heights resident Jerson Grinage, was today arraigned for drug trafficking after he was allegedly busted with three point five ounces of weed in his garage. The twenty-two year old appeared unrepresented before the Chief Magistrate Anne Marie Smith and pleaded not guilty to the charge. He was offered bail of one thousand dollars plus a surety of the same amount, but was ordered to submit his travelling documents to the Clerk of Court before bail would be processed. But before Grinage could go, he ran into another hurdle because he had to return to court to be additional arraigned for aggravated assault with a firearm upon Yannick Smith. That charge, however, was withdrawn after Smith came to court stating that he was never assaulted by Grinage with a gun. And that he fabricated the story because he thought Grinage had accused him of burglarizing his Mahogany Heights home. The next court date for Grinage on the drug trafficking charge has been set for July thirty-first.
