Angry customer tries to burn down shop
A Sandhill resident has been arrested and charged with arson following an incident at a local grocery shop. Around three on Monday afternoon, forty year old Barry Rosalez began arguing with Yung Fa He, the proprietor of a store between miles eighteen and nineteen on the Northern Highway. Yung says after the exchange of words, Rosalez left the area, only to come back to the shop fifteen minutes later. Yung could only watch as Rosalez lit a Molotov cocktail and threw it into the building. The gasoline filled bottle ignited several of the store’s items, but it was extinguished without major damage to the building and its contents. Within minutes Rosalez was detained and this morning he appeared before Magistrate Dorothy Flowers on a charge of arson. As the matter is an indictable offence, no plea was taken. The defendant was granted bail in the sum of two thousand five hundred dollars.
