Hyde brothers sentenced to 12 years
The sentencing had been delayed twice, but tonight the fate of Clifford and Russel Hyde is now settled. The brothers will spend the next twelve years in Hattieville prison. That’s the sentence handed down today by Supreme Court Justice Troadio Gonzalez following their conviction for manslaughter. The men had originally been charged with murder, along with Dennis Hyde and Delvin Galvez. The latter two defendants were acquitted in late December and the jury found Clifford and Russel guilty of the lesser charge. Their victim, Allison Castillo, was fatally stabbed during a fight in front of the Deja Vu Club in Belmopan on June fourth, 2004. Clifford Hyde was represented by attorney Ellis Arnold and Russel Hyde was defended by attorney Dickie Bradley.
