Special Constable speeds off with girlfriend on car hood
They say all’s fair in love and war, but one Special Constable may not agree with that after his ex-girlfriend had him locked up following a heated dispute early this morning. Twenty-four year old Jose Haylock is charged with Wounding and Uttering Threatening Words upon Longene Flores. Flores claims that at around four this morning they were at the Button Wood Bay Park in Belize City when Haylock became irate and sped off in his vehicle. But Flores was not sitting beside him. Instead, Haylock allegedly took off while she sat on the bonnet. Flores also says Haylock drove off in the direction of the Northern Highway and then braked suddenly, flinging her to the ground. She sustained minor injuries and said that Haylock threatened to kill her. Haylock is out on bail of three thousand dollars and Magistrate Rachel Montero has ordered him to stay clear of Flores in order to maintain his freedom. He is due back in court on September fifth.
