Milt and Jazz riding high in N.B.A.
It’s getting to be a common story on this broadcast, but it’s the kind of news we wouldn’t mind reporting every day. That’s right, Belizean Milt Palacio continues to burn up the N.B.A. hardwood. Last night Palacio scored seventeen points as his Utah Jazz won their seventh game out of the last eight, a 110-102 road victory over the Philadelphia 76ers. Milt was five for six from the field and seven for eight at the charity stripe, with eleven of his points coming in the crucial fourth quarter when he also had the job of guarding superstar Allen Iverson. Palacio’s two free throws with fifty-seven seconds remaining put the game away for the Jazz, who now sit atop the northwest division with a nineteen and seventeen record.
