U.S. tourist dies while snorkelling
Another cruise ship tourist has died while snorkelling in Belizean waters. According to police, the unnamed sixty-five year old U.S. national was with a group of nine other visitors, all passengers from the Carnival Legend, who were snorkelling with a tour guide near the barrier reef in front of Caye Caulker. He experienced problems while in the water and was taken back aboard the dive boat where C.P.R. was administered. Those efforts failed and he was pronounced dead on arrival at the Caye Caulker Clinic. The body awaits a post-mortem at the K.H.M.H. On November sixteenth, U.S. cruise tourist John Dresp disappeared while part of a snorkelling group at Shark Ray Alley, also near Caye Caulker. His body was never found.
