Stabbing leads to attempted murder charge against teen
Meanwhile, a Belize City teenager is tonight in police custody pending a charge of attempted murder following an attack against a fifteen year old. According to Markel Barrera, on Thursday evening he got into an argument with a sixteen year old. The war of words ended when the older teen left the area only to come back armed with a sharp object. Barrera claims his assailant used the makeshift instrument to stab him in the right side of the chest. The victim was rushed to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.
