Catholics plan December 30 prayer vigil for peace
As we head into the holidays, some of us are focusing more on the partying than the praying. But if you are feeling spiritual, or hoping to lend your thoughts and prayers to create something positive, the Faith and Justice Commission of the Roman Catholic Church invites you to join a Prayer for Peace service on December thirtieth in Belize City. The aim is to welcome the New Year and pray for an end to the violence and strife in Belize. It will take place at the Battlefield Park beginning at five p.m., so as to not conflict with other church services that evening.
