2 convicted, 2 acquitted in Belmopan stabbing death
Tonight four men have been cleared of murder charges, but two others stand convicted of manslaughter in the Supreme Court. The jury deliberated for four hours and acquitted Clifford Hyde, Russel Hyde, Dennis Hyde, and Delvin Galvez of murder charges, but found Clifford and Russel Hyde guilty of manslaughter in the death of Allison Castillo in June of 2004. Castillo was fatally stabbed outside a club in Belmopan during a fight. Sentencing for the Hydes will take place on December thirtieth. Dennis Hyde and Delvin Galvez were represented by attorney Lutchman Sukhnandan; Clifford Hyde by Attorney Ellis Arnold, while Russel Hyde was defended by attorney Dickie Bradley.
