Second weekend shooting leaves another man critical
Another shooting, this time less than a block away from the city’s main police station, has left a second young man in critical condition. Police reports are that around four on Sunday morning, Danny Dais and another man got into a fight at the corner of Handyside and Queen Street. The dispute ended when the other person pulled out a handgun and fired several shots. One of the bullets hit Dais in his abdomen. The victim was rushed to the K.H.M.H. where he remains tonight while police continue to look for the gunman. As for a motive, authorities tell News Five the incident escalated to bloodshed after “an exchange of words.”
