Hey I’m Safiyyah and this is What’s Happening Belize?
If you’re looking for big action this Friday night then you should head over to the Birds Isle for the fourth annual Miss Big and Beautiful pageant. This pageant promises to be like no other, with real energetic and outgoing contestants. This pageant is put on as a fund raiser to help raise funds for the Jump Street Posse carnival band as well as for the kids of the Port Loyola area. The pageant will begin at seven p.m. at the Bird’s Isle.
And all you teens on summer break looking for somewhere to go this Friday night, you can head over to the Lion’s Club for a big dance being held called “Emergency Room”. This big teen dance will run from six p.m. to twelve midnight. There will be absolutely no alcohol so parents; you can feel free to send out your teens. Music will be provided by Lightning Sounds out of Miami. So go and check that out teens.
The Public Service Union will like to inform the public that their Annual General Meeting will be held this Friday and Saturday in the Orange Walk District. On Saturday the meeting will be held at the Mameyal Cool Spot starting at nine a.m. So all members and prospective members are urged to attend.
On Sunday night, if you’re up north in Orange Walk you should head over to Orange Plaza. They will be having hype music and delicious Ceviche. There will be cold drinks and entertainment. So if you want something to do to end your weekend off right then head over to Orange Plaza in Sugar City.
And next weekend you should make plans to head down south for Hopkins Day next weekend. I’ll give you more details next week. Now its time to check out the hillside resort, Cahal Pech, for one hot summer.
