Three men, one woman charged with Yarwood murder
Belize City police have arrested and charged four men in connection with the murder of twenty year old Sherwin Yarwood. This afternoon twenty-eight year old Terrence Bailey, twenty-eight year old Jerry Bush, twenty-nine year old Shinette Staine, and sixteen year old Erwin Adolphus appeared in Belize City Magistrate’s Court were they were formally arraigned for the crime of murder. Yarwood’s body was discovered early on the morning of November thirtieth in an abandoned lot off the Southern Foreshore. According to authorities, it is believed that the young man was lured to area, beat up, and shot execution style: once in the back of the head. In court today, all four were remanded to Hattieville prison on charges of murder and conspiracy to commit murder. We understand that in an exchange between the prisoners, Bailey, Bush, and Adolphus took turns accusing each other of turning evidence over to the prosecutor. The case was adjourned until January thirteenth, 2006. As Jerry Bush was being read those charges, he was also arraigned for drug trafficking with his brother Troy Middleton, after cops found a black bag with eighty-nine point nine grams or about three ounces of weed in his possession. Bush tried to plead guilty to the charge of simple possession, but that offer was rebuffed by the prosecution. That matter is also scheduled to be heard on the thirteenth of next month. Middleton has been release on bail in the sum of twenty-five hundred dollars.
