Courts gives big to Salvation Army kiddie cause
Following a public appeal by the Salvation Army for Belizean businesses to step up with contributions towards its toy drive, Courts Belize has come forward with a donation from the company and its employees. This afternoon Major Errol Robateau received more than five hundred dollars worth of toys, one hundred and eighty of which were purchased by the company and fifty more bought by the employees using their own monies. According to Robateau, the donation is significant, but the drive is still behind schedule as the children will be hosted with a lunch tomorrow afternoon. At that event, Salvation Army volunteers had hoped to distribute more than a thousand toys to needy children.
