Belize Film Commission Announces International Partnership with U.S.-based Media Group

Nigel Miguel

The Belize Film Commission is celebrating a milestone today. At a press conference held this afternoon, Commissioner Nigel Miguel announced that the commission is partnering with ArDoMi Media Group from Los Angeles, California. The partnership will allow Belize to promote itself as a film location internationally. ArDoMi produces content for all media platforms and provides services in the US, Africa and Mexico and will now include the Belize Film Commission to assist in the expansion of the local film industry. According to Miguel, this new initiative will bring great opportunities for the country.

Nigel Miguel, Belize Film Commissioner

“ArDoMi Media Group is a full content provider, production company that is based in Los Angeles California. The partnership, the principals of the company have all been associated with Belize on one level or the other over the past years. These guys have come together to help assist the film commission in promoting the country abroad to bring production back to Belize. They are giving us a presence in their office, in downtown, state of the art office. They are also going to be assisting, potentially investing, in certain projects and infrastructure in the country. So that is the big key. They are not coming here to try and feed off of the existing productions or things that coming in. They are actually generating and enhancing the opportunity for us to bring and attract bigger productions.”

Jeff Pogue, Rep., ArDoMi Media Group

“There are just certain things that you get here that you don’t get anywhere else; like these gorgeous shots and there are no power lines in the background. I think the eco-conscious nature of the country has preserved its beauty and that’s what makes it such a unique place to film. I think once you get that wider lens, you will find people asking how can we shoot that.”
