Toddler dies in Hummingbird Highway accident
A traffic accident on the Hummingbird Highway has claimed the life of a four-year-old girl. Reports are that around noon on Monday, little Daisy Polanco was running across the highway in Saint Margaret’s Village when she was knocked down by a truck driven by forty-eight year Santos Turcios. Turcios told authorities that the child suddenly darted in front of him and there was no way to avoid a collision. A post-mortem has revealed that Polanco died from severe head and body injuries. Turcios has been served with notice of intended prosecution in connection with this incident.
