Jamaican Man Arraigned for Murder of Oscar Rubio
Thirty-eight year old Oscar Rubio was taken to the K.H.M.H. by the police after he was found drunk in the Belize Constitution Park in late July and two weeks later, he was laying dead at the morgue. Rubio died as a result of an injury he sustained during an altercation at the Conch Shell Bay fish market with another man. Well, police believe that Rubio was attacked and injured multiple times to the head by Mark Dwayne Dallas. This afternoon, the thirty-two-year-old Jamaican national was arraigned before Chief Magistrate Anne Marie Smith and read a single charge of murder for the August thirteenth murder of Rubio. No plea was taken and Dallas was remanded into custody at the Belize Central Prison until October second 2014. Dallas has been living in Belize for twenty-two years.
