GSU Operations in the West

Also in the west, the Gang Suppression Unit conducted an eight-hour operation targeting drug dealers and peddlers in the San Ignacio area. Around five-thirty a.m. on Saturday, the unit searched the Geronimo Thompson Street residence of forty-seven year old Mark Francis Peters. According to the GSU, Peters and three other persons were inside the house at the time of the search, but that it was only on him that they discovered a small plastic bag containing thirteen point nine ounces of suspected cannabis in his pants. Peters has since been charged for “Possession of a Controlled Drug.” Five hours later, the GSU went to the residence of another well-known drug peddler on Carmen Street in Santa Elena Town. While a search of his residence did not reveal anything incriminating, in an empty lot beside the residence the unit discovered a black plastic bag containing two other bags containing a total of six point one ounces of suspected cannabis. The cannabis is believed to be the property of the drug peddler, but because it was found a distance from his residence, it was tagged as found property. But it was a final search on George Price Avenue that yielded the largest amount of drugs. Just after twelve noon, adjacent to the residence of another alleged drug dealer GSU discovered inside a fenced lot a black plastic bag containing a whopping four point six pounds of suspected cannabis. The drugs was stashed between an abandoned house and the septic tank which are less than 1 feet apart.
