Mayor says ACB has personal vendetta

Mayor Moya Flowers also had her own views about the recent statement issued by the Association of Concerned Belizeans which blames her for the under-depositing at City Hall. Moya Flowers said it was engineered by one person who has a personal vendetta against her.

“You want to hold this one person responsible then it would follow through that in any other areas where is allegation, because we’ll leave it at that – allegations of wrongdoings, be it if it’s the Ministry, if it’s the a Department that falls under the Ministry of Finance. In this case it’s a department that falls under the Council, so if you want to say the Mayor and Councils fine. If you want to say with the Border Management, I believe that falls under Tourism, then it’s the Minister of Tourism, but is that how we’re gonna go then? We’re gonna have all elected officials, in this case the Ministers, be held responsible. How come nothing was said with the K.H.M.H.? That was so big. So why they didn’t say anything about the other people? Why just the City Council?”
