Independent party VIP to launch manifesto in Bmp.

With country-wide municipal elections only three months away, political campaigns are already in high gear. And while much of the country will be asked to choose candidates from the two main political parties, this Sunday, residents of Belmopan will be introduced to the men and women of a third entity offering themselves up for election. They call themselves the VIP team: Vision Inspired by the People. VIP candidates include businessman Paul Morgan for Mayor and Belmopan residents Bobby Lopez, Kamil Espat, Henry Deuck, David Gonzalez, Elvira Brown, and Hubert Enriquez as councillors. The independents will be presenting their manifesto at the Belmopan Hotel at two on Sunday afternoon. The People’s United Party slate is headed by Eloy Waight for Mayor, while the United Democratic Party’s team is led by Simeon Lopez.
