Union Executives Demand Audience With BTB Director
According to the union’s secretary general Jimmy Robinson, the initial agreement was for them to be involved in the fine-tuning of those decisions. Instead, the matter has been dealt with in haste, leaving the membership discontent.

“The BTB representatives have been outlining certain plans for the zone of which we have been in dialogue with the BTB for the past two and a half to three years. Some of us are not totally satisfied at this point in time due to the fact that during the time that we had this discussion we had been informed that we would tweak certain decisions instead of reaching to an abrupt conclusion in relation to the matter at the zone.”

“What is that matter though?”
Jimmy Robinson
“Well it has a lot to do with various things. First of all it has to do with location of the workers in the zone. It has to do with guests coming off the ships. It has to do with also the way we conduct business at the zone which most of us are not too happy with at this point in time.”
News Five will attempt to get a comment from representatives of the BTB on Monday.
