BFLA and youths organise city AIDS walk
As part of activities leading up to World AIDS Day on December first, this afternoon the Belize Family Life Association and the Youth Advocacy Movement organised a walk through the streets of Belize City. Despite a low turn out, participants moved enthusiastically from the Yabra Green, along Caesar Ridge Road, and down Central American Boulevard. The walk ended with a series of presentations and rally at the Belize City Centre. According to the organisers, the theme of the event was “Youth Taking Charge Against HIV/AIDS.” Other activities are planned throughout the country next week.
