American fined for illegal gun and ammo
A U.S. citizen living in Belize has been fined twenty thousand dollars for keeping an unlicensed weapon and ammunition. Donald Richard Cook appeared before Magistrate Margaret Gabb-McKenzie today where he pleaded guilty and was fined ten thousand dollars for the twenty-gauge double barrelled shotgun and ten thousand for the cartridges. He was ordered to pay two thousand immediately and three hundred per month thereafter. Police searched Cook’s home on the Coastal Road on Tuesday and discovered the gun and ammo.
