Deportee arrested for Port Loyola burglary
A woman deported from the United States after serving time for burglary, stands accused here at home of the same crime. Fifty-two year old Glenda Neal was picked up by police on Tuesday in the vicinity of a home that was burglarised on November tenth in Port Loyola. When Neal was arrested she had a pair of pliers, a screw driver, and a hammer and was charged with “going equipped to steal.” She has also been charged with the burglary on the tenth after a witness identified her as the person seen leaving the property. Neal pleaded not guilty to both charges and was granted bail of four thousand dollars. The break-in occurred at the home of Danette Burns on Faber’s Road. Among the missing items were clothing, jewellery, a CD player and a range of cosmetics and toiletries, including the victim’s tube of toothpaste.
