Security guard charged with incident assault of child
On Sunday, there was the shocking report of a six year old boy molested by two men in an Orange Walk Village, and now it seems that less than twenty-four hours later in Belize City, a ten year old girl was also victimised. The child, accompanied by her mother told police that a security guard fondled her on her private parts on Monday afternoon. Today, Karl Smith appeared before Magistrate Margaret Gabb-McKenzie on charges of indecent assault. Smith pleaded not guilty and was granted bail in the sum of five thousand dollars. The case has been adjourned until January.
