Men caught in act of molesting 6-year-old boy
Tonight police in the north are investigating a sexual attack against a young child that has traumatised the victim and shocked his community. According to authorities, on Sunday afternoon the cries of a child and the sounds of a commotion sent several concerned residents of San Jose in the Orange Walk District rushing to a house in the village. Upon entering the home, they were stunned to see a six year old boy, naked, his face covered with bruises and at the mercy of two adult men. Enraged, the villagers ambushed the perpetrators, identified as forty-six year old Domingo Chuc and thirty-six year old David Camera, and subdued them until the cops arrived. The young boy was taken to the Northern Regional Hospital for treatment. This afternoon, both Chuc and Camera were charged with harm, indecent assault and garrotting. We understand that last charge refers to force used during the commission of a crime, which in this case would have been choking the child. Domingo Chuc has been additionally charged with use of threatening words for telling the chairman of the village, “you wah pay for this”, that is, helping to detain the men until the authorities showed up. Police sources also tell News Five that one of the accused has been previously arrested on similar charges.
