He is one of scores of local artists trying to carve out his own niche in the Belizean music landscape. And Andrew Peterson, the self proclaimed “Reality Youth” is hoping his unique blend of reggae and gospel will spread like wild fire. Peterson stopped by our studios for a preview of his first album, called “Consuming Fire.”
Andrew ?Reality Youth? Peterson, Musician (singing)
?Sam 68, Let God Almighty arise, let his enemies be scattered. That?s how mi tell them, the Trinity is stronger, stronger. The Trinity is stronger…mek we lift up the Almighty God is power.?
Janelle Chanona
?We often hear local artists say it?s tough to get records sold in Belize, but with the spiritual theme is it easier, more difficult? How are you finding it??
Andrew Peterson, Musician
?I believe it?s not difficult and it?s not easy, we just need the support. We believe with God that the word is not for sale, it?s for free, salvation is for free. It?s just the ministry, the ministry needs that support because we need the message of God to get across the nations, different nations around the world we just need that support, whether it be whatsoever. Right now I?m selling the CD for fifteen dollars, but if you could give me twelve dollars, I?ll get you for twelve dollars. If you could give me ten dollars, I?ll give you for ten dollars cause it?s not about money, it?s about ministry, to get the message across the nation. To bless the nation of Belize for Jesus.?
Copies of “Consuming Fire” are on sale from the artist.
